Marbella Golf Country Club is now Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort. A new era is beginning, preserving all the essence of this golf course, its challenging design, breathtaking views and, ultimately, a outstanding course on the Costa del Sol, which is now part of Higuerón’s offering under the Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort brand.
The Course
The Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort course offers a par 72 layout that combines technical demands with undulating terrain, fast greens, strategically placed bunkers, and several holes with lakes, reflecting the hallmark of its creator, Robert Trent Jones Sr., world-renowned for integrating the landscape, the creative use of obstacles, and the need for precise strategy in the game.
The Layout
The course is divided into two distinct but complementary 9-hole courses: the first nine holes, which are narrower and more technical, require precision and planning; while the second nine, which are longer, allow for a more open game with woods and hybrids. Surrounded by nature and overlooking the Mediterranean, the course offers a unique experience for both experienced players and those looking to enjoy golf in an incomparable setting.
The Setting
A unique setting on the Costa del Sol where players can enjoy golf surrounded by nature and panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the Sierra Blanca mountains, with excellent transport links: just 5 minutes from the center of Marbella and 30 minutes from Malaga airport.

Practice Area
The practice area is located next to the Club House, with a practice course, a large chipping area for practicing your short game, and a generously sized putting green. The driving range has two separate areas, one with natural grass and the other covered, allowing you to practice in different conditions. There is also the option of booking golf lessons for all levels.
The Shop
The golf shop located in the Club House offers a carefully selected range of equipment and clothing for men, women, and juniors. Here you can find everything you need to enjoy a day of golf, from accessories and technical equipment to club rental options for visitors. With attentive and specialized service, the shop is open every day from 7:30 a.m.
El Olivo Restaurant
El Olivo Restaurant, located in the Clubhouse at Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort, offers Mediterranean cuisine made with seasonal produce. It has spacious terraces overlooking the golf course, olive groves, and the Mediterranean Sea.
It is open every day with different opening hours depending on the season. A buggy bar service is available on the course, offering drinks, snacks, and tailor-made sandwiches.
Groups and Events
The restaurant has several indoor and outdoor spaces perfect for hosting events and groups, including weddings, business lunches, or private celebrations, with a capacity for up to 100 people seated or 160 for cocktail parties.

VALDERRAMA GOLF
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and considered the best course in continental Europe and among the top 100 in the world, this beautiful golf course is always in excellent condition and offers players a very high quality of service. Home to the legendary Ryder Cup in 1997 and several Volvo Masters, it recently hosted the Spanish Open in April 2016.
CABOPINO GOLF
This golf course, newly built in 2001, has 18 holes designed by Juan Ligues Creus and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, as well as beautiful vegetation with an abundance of magnificent pine trees with wide crowns.
LOS NARANJOS GOLF
Los Naranjos is a typical Robert Trent Jones Sr. design with generous fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The greens, with Penn A4 grass, are spacious and slightly undulating. The tees are long and have four markers: red, yellow, white, and black, with course lengths starting at 5,131 meters and reaching a maximum of 6,532 meters. Since opening in 1977, Los Naranjos has hosted several major competitions, including the Spanish Open, and is ranked as one of the best golf courses in Spain. In 2005 and again in 2008, Los Naranjos was voted “Course of the Year” on the Costa del Sol.
LAS MIJAS GOLF
Over the last few decades, Mijas Golf has become one of the most popular golf resorts in Europe, known for the excellent condition of its courses, its pleasant atmosphere, and the outstanding service provided to customers. The courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, are located in the Mijas Valley, north of Fuengirola, just twenty minutes from Malaga International Airport and Marbella, and 3.5 km from the sea. CHAPARRAL GOLF
Since its reopening, El Chaparral Golf Club has become one of the most attractive golf clubs on the Costa del Sol, the result of the determination and efforts of Antonio Rubio’s family business to position El Chaparral Golf Club as one of the preferred golf courses on the Costa del Sol. Originally designed by Gancedo, this is the only golf course on the Costa del Sol with 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s, and 6 par 5s. With a total length of 6,000 meters, it offers a wide variety of holes and is a fairly challenging course, requiring high levels of precision and skill.
GOLF TORREQUEBRADA
The Torrequebrada golf course was founded in 1976 and designed by José Gancedo, one of the best amateurs in the history of Spanish golf. He has since designed other golf courses in Spain, the rest of Europe, and America. It is currently considered one of the best golf courses in Europe.
LAURO GOLF
Lauro Golf is located in the midst of beautiful unspoiled nature, in an old typical Andalusian building with restaurants, golf shops, swimming pools, paddle tennis courts, a lawn club, and an equestrian center. The course was designed by Folco Nardi and Mariano Benítez and consists of 27 holes that can be played in three different combinations, all par 72.
